katulad ng ilang milyong botante, excited ako para sa eleksyon ngayong taon. there seem to be an increased number of people who are more than willing to exercise their right to suffrage. and people have been seriously following all kinds of debates on national tv in their attempt to get to know the candidates better. plus, this is the first time we'll be doing an automated elections.
i went to aguinaldo elementary school and easily found my voting precinct: clustered precinct 898. i proceeded to the area and was directed to go to the holding area first. the system was ok. people were given numbers and instructed to queue. medyo matagal lang at mainit but it was bearable. there were 2 people behind me who were talking about the line saying its way too bearable than the enrolment in up. tama! buti na lang sanay ang lola nyo sa pagpila. =) i also noticed that theyre giving priority to senior citizens. hindi na sila pumipila. very good!
after about 50 minutes, i was one in a group of 3 who were directed to go to the voting precinct. this explains the long line, 7 precincts (under the manual elections) clustered into 1.
this is how the actual voting precinct looks like. maayos.
after a few minutes, i fed my ballot to the PCOS machine and voila! had my vote counted! i was voter number 290 in my precinct.
and finally, had my forefinger inked.
plus a cup of wendy's frosty after the entire thing.
here's to a clean and reliable automated elections!
thanks to dick gordon! (sorry hindi ko mapigilan hehe)
